FR. GEORGE JOSEPH

Before becoming vicar of The Church of Our Merciful Saviour in February 2024, the Rev. Dr. George Joseph has served as priest-in-charge of Holy Cross Episcopal Church, Dallas and in various other churches as Interim Priest-In-charge. He was ordained into the order of Diaconate in 2002 and to the Sacred Order of Priests in 2003 in the Mumbai Diocese Church of North India which is in fellowship with the Anglican Communion.

 After serving as parish priest, as administrator in the diocesan mission hospital, and as the Secretary of the Bible Society of India, he moved with his wife Jessy and two children Nisha and Nithin to the United States.  

 He has a graduate degree in Business and law; Masters in Divinity, Psychology and Business Management and PhD in Psychology. He also serves as Chaplain at Baylor Scott & White Hospital.

 With twenty-two years of pastoral ministry, he is gifted in preaching, teaching and building congregations.

BISHOP’S COMMITTEE

Our Merciful Savior’s Bishop’s Committee provides administrative and pastoral direction to the members (clergy and laity) of Our Merciful Savior Episcopal Church. Its duties are to act in accordance with a majority of member’ best interests on the following church issues: Approval of regular Budgets and Plans, Establishing and Prioritizing authorized external and internal parish ministries.
